The Center for Psychotherapy, Christina Dougherty LCSW LLC, is a holistic practice designed to assist our clients, their marriages, and their families to grow and heal. Mental and behavioral wellness is a medical issue, not a moral issue, and we treat it as such. We collaborate care with other specialists, if desired, connecting primary doctors with behavioral health specialists as well as alternative therapies; we want to assist those with difficulties to be well and flourish with a network of support.
The clinicians at the Center for Psychotherapy are in-network with most insurance companies and have contracts with various Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), which provides our clients with the assurance that each of our clinicians are licensed at the clinical, independent level with the state of Pennsylvania and have gone through rigorous credentialing standards.
We work with individuals, couples, adolescents and families with a wide range of presenting problems to include those experiencing depression, anxiety, anger management, adjustment or relationship issues, situational and phase of life problems, trauma and PTSD, and addictive disorders such as substance abuse, disordered eating, and behavioral/impulse control issues. Our practice encompasses a holistic approach including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, energy psychology and transpersonal theory. All of our practitioners are trained for cultural differences as well as for the LGBTQ community. Learn more about our Treatment Model here.
Our offices are located in on South Broad Street in a stately renovated brownstone and we offer daytime, weekend, and evening hours, as well as telehealth capability for qualifying individuals.
